Welcome

Welcome to Escrick Heritage and St Helen’s Church.

Whether you are exploring the wonderful heritage of Escrick, Deighton, Hollicarrs or Crockey Hill, the inspiring architecture of the church or are seeking a place of quiet reflection and worship a warm welcome awaits.

St Helen’s is a magnificent Grade II* Church dating from 1857 and is central to our heritage project, which reveals the fascinating and unique history of the interwoven stories of estate, church and village.

We hope you enjoy exploring our heritage online or in person as much as we did discovering it!

About Escrick Heritage

Escrick Heritage is a community led project based around St Helen’s Church, Escrick near York, in the UK.  The project was made possible largely through a Heritage Lottery Fund grant, which was awarded in Spring 2018.

We are continually working on the website to add all the wonderful information we have linked to the project.  Please keep popping back to see what’s new.
