St Helen’s is host to our heritage hub which will open in April 2019
Our exhibitions have all resulted from the hard work of our dedicated team of volunteers. All our volunteers live in or have strong links with the village and bring their knowledge, experience and passion for Escrick into the lively and engaging stories of village life.
We have a permanent exhibition in our North Aisle which gives a fascinating overview of the development of the village. This is complemented by our changing temporary exhibitions exploring village life drawn from our oral histories and community archive.
Study Room and Guided Tours
The main church is open every day to visitors. We have a heritage study room where you are welcome to browse our local history publications and make use of our computer facilities for research.
This room will be available when we have heritage volunteers in the church.
Please see the events calendar for details.
On these days our friendly volunteers will also be happy to answer questions or offer a guided tour of the church.
